KEP Italia Accident repair policy
Previously, Kep Italia offered an accident damage service. This service was aimed at buying a new helmet at a reduced price in the event of a serious incident in which your helmet was irreparably damaged.

With the arrival of the Cromo 2, Kep Italia has been given the opportunity to improve this service.
The replacement service was a great but sometimes still expensive service. We now have the possibility to replace the loose parts.
Is the shell of your helmet irreparably damaged by an accident? Don't panic! We can now replace the shell and/or the loose parts. For example, we can replace the shell for a reduced rate in the first 2 years. Depending on the damage, the single repair costs are on average around € 300. Usually it is sufficient to replace the shell for a new one. Then all other parts of your current helmet are transferred to the new one. With that you have a fresh helmet again that can be used again under full warranty.
A € 1200,- Cromo 1 helmet that was irreparably damaged could previously be replaced in the first year for € 600,- with the accident policy given by Kep, while you are now much better off with the Cromo 2. We think this is a truly unique after sales service
Process for requesting Accident repair policy
- Return damaged helmet and all details related to damage to Abouthelmets.
- Include receipt of original purchase
- We will ship your damaged helmet to KEP Italia for inspection
- KEP Italia will certify that the helmet is no longer suitable for riding
- KEP Italia will communicate with Abouthelmets about the post-inspection information and About helmets will provide you the info about the repair costs
- You will receive the costs and repair note from us
- After agreement you will receive an invoice from Abouthelmets
- After payment KEP Italia will ship the repaired helmet to Abouthelmets
- Abouthelmets ships replacement helmet to you!
No subsequent helmet replacements permitted (allowable only once in rider's lifetime).
